Parallel Port Pins and Registers

This graphic shows the parallel port and the corresponding registers. The pins are marked as either input or output line, and are connected to the corresponding bit in the control/data register.

Parallel Port Pins and Registers

Remember: If you develop stuff with the parallel port, you might want to use an extra parallel port IO card to avoid frying the parallel port on the motherboard. An extra I/O card is cheaper than the motherboard!
