Radio - RF - Passive Field Meter - Simple Electronics

If you want to test your PMR/FRS equipment, this circuit is the simplest to build:

This circuit measures the field transmitted by your 446MHz or 462/467MHz free to use radios.

Radio - RF - Passive Field Meter - Simple Electronics

At the output you can measure a DC voltage, dependent on the field emitted by your transmitter.

In order to compare different models/types/brands of PMR / FRS radios, make sure that you have the same distance to the field meter with each radio, e.g. half a meter.
