Astronomy Timer Gadgets
First, here is my "Solar-Neutrino-Direction-Indicator":
The galic press is used to adjust (with lining disks) to the geographical latitude,
in my case about 47 degrees north. The timer wheel provides a rotation of
24 hours, so the chinese chop stick with the wooden ball shows the direction
of the sun and the transparent plastic arror shows the direction of the solar
neutrinos penetrating any matter, even the Earth when the Sun in below the horizon.
Moon Phase Indicator
Here we have a moon phase indicator. The lower two timers provide current to the
3rd timer so, that the ice cream ball former rotates once in 30 days, which is about
the synodic moon period of 29.5 days:
And this is the gadget which needs most time to show some action. A simulator for
Earth and Mars movement. The blue ball (Earth) will rotate once in a year and the red
ball (Mars) will rotate in about 687 earth days:
