While being in Italy, I had the pleasure to visit the Saline of Tarquinia (solar salt work).

for the permission to visit the saline and the great tour thru the saline! :-)
Unfortunately some salt pans were being cleaned out, so the water circulation was
stopped. Hence the Artemia were not present at this time. But my guide Sergio
told me that the works are going to be finished this year and the Artemia should be
back next year (2007). I'm hoping that I can get a permission next year again, so that
I can see the Artemia! :-)
