In one aquarium currently residing outside where bright sunlight shines on the tank
half a day, Artemia is reproducing. The male grasps the female with it's long graspers located on
the head on the female brood pouch (egg sac) and in this position they swim up to 48 hours. The
copulation itself is rather a reflex and lasts only about one second.
